The great gate "Sanmon"

"Sanmon", the entrance of Chionin, is 24m hight and 50m wide. 70,000 tiles are used to make the roof. "Sanmon" is one of the largest wooden two-storey gates in Japan. Many people become surprised at how big the gate is when they look at it close by.

One of the largest bell towers in Japan

The large bell in Chionin is one of the largest bells with 3.3m height, 2.8m diameter, and 70t weight. This is the only place where you this precious cultural property. Come over to the place to see it with your own eyes.

The traditional Japanese garden 「Yuzenen」

You can enjoy the differences of seasons in the Japanese traditional garden "Yuzenen". The bridge which is in the garden is one of the best photo spots in Kyoto.
