Carvings colored with vivid paints

Historically precious Ninomaru Palace
Unfortunately, taking photos is prohibited in the palace. However, visitors can enjoy viewing the gorgeous decorations. The famous main hall is decorated with luxurious design, such as a pine tree extending towards the seat of the general and the painting of a peacock which is considered to be elegant. You can also feel the history of the building by walking through a hallway with “Uguisu-bari” design, which is designed to make noise when walking for the meaning of safety.
The beautiful garden in the castle
The symmetrically-designed pine tree can be seen in the garden. This pine tree illustrates the hope of one’s prosperity. The beautifully maintained garden is simply astonishing to see.
The large Ninomaru Garden
This garden was designed to be seen from multiple angles and the main tower was supposed to be seen from the main hall through the garden. The garden is designed to be enjoyed from any building surrounding the garden. The powerful design of rocks and somewhat exotic sago palm brings a unique inpression to the visitors seeing the garden.
